    How was your appointment with Dr. Gonzalez?

    Here's the deal. I have no complaints with the doctors I've seen or services I've received at Mayo Clinic. Mayo runs very smoothly, easy to schedule, they gather records, get you checked in, get tests done quickly in-house. Quite efficient. The problem is that you have no idea when all this very quick & easy healthcare consumption is going on, that Mayo Clinic charges about 7 times more than other providers do for the same services (yes, through insurance too). Sticker shock if I've ever had it. They expect me to pay $500 a month toward diagnostic testing bills that ruled out cancer but didn't determine what's wrong or resolve the issue (less than $500/month is not acceptable on their payment plan). This review is not about Dr. Gonzalez, but I can't review Mayo Clinic - the facility on this site. So again, nothing against the doctors but Mayo Clinic is far from affordable for the average American. Ask for estimates BEFORE you do anything at Mayo Clinic.
