How was your appointment with Dr. Gundersen?

My first impression of Dr. Gundersen was that she was personable, likable, and listened to my concerns. I felt comfortable sharing my feelings in a safe place. She was relatable, and gave feedback that was helpful. It was a real treasure to find a trustworthy psychiatrist that I liked, took Medicare, was close by. I looked forward to telling her about my life, and hearing what she had to say. She was intuitive, and responded to my comments, rather than just sitting there looking at me or being too quiet. I can definitely recommend her services for someone who is stable and not requiring intensive therapy. If you have a number of medical issues or wish to process the impact of them on your mental health I would suggest not seeing her. Please keep your sessions in person and do not utilize Zoom, because she tends to get distracted and even multitask rather focus on you.
