How was your appointment with Dr. Balkhy?

I was hoping for a way to get my cardiac bypass surgery completed with a minimum of surgical trauma. My research lead me to meet with Dr Husam Balkhy, who turned out to be the Director of Robotic and Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery at the University of Chicago Medical Center. He is one of a handful of doctors in the midwest who is knowledgeable and skilled at robotic bypass surgery. In short, my robotic cardiac bypass surgery by Dr Balkhy and his team went well. My recovery was comparatively quick, especially when compared to conventional open chest cardiac bypass surgery. His administrative and clinical teams worked well together and communicated well with us. I was lucky to be able to find out about him before I ran out of time. If you need cardiac bypass surgery, and you seek a minimally invasive option, I encourage you to contact his University of Chicago team. With the proper records, and perhaps an in person consult, they can help determine whether you are a good candidate
