    How was your appointment with Dr. Strehl?

    Apr 01, 2024
    Dr. Strehl repaired an umbilical hernia for me in early February. I was impressed with his office and him as a surgeon from start to finish. He explained EVERYTHING to me and answered all my questions. His staff was very polite and organized. I knew exactly what to expect, and on the day of the surgery everything went exactly according to plan. We were right on time with everything. He encouraged me to walk a lot, which I know helped my body start the recovery process. The most pain I had was in my upper shoulders (strangely), which is apparently a byproduct of the gas they use to inflate your abdomen during surgery. Dr. Strehl got me on an active recovery plan and checked in with me multiple times post-surgery. I felt very well supported. Six weeks later, everything looks great, I feel great and I'm back in the gym lifting heavy things and achieving my goals. 10/10 would recommend. He is a total pro and does more of these surgeries than anyone else in N. Michigan. I felt very supported throughout the process.
